Hi, I am Mitesh Patel. I created this art form after years of working with paper and craft.
The technique uses a laser cutter to create thousands of precision lines across black paper – and through the spacing and depth of those lines, a face emerges.
I want to be honest with you about how this is made. The lines are cut by a laser machine – not by hand with a blade. This is actually what makes every portrait consistent, precise and high quality. The laser follows a design I create personally from your photo. No two designs are the same because no two faces are the same.
The process starts with your photo. I study the light and shadow on his face and create a custom line art design. I send you a digital preview. You approve it. Then the laser cuts it on black paper with a white backing – so the lines reveal white through the black, creating the portrait you see.
The man you saw in our sample – that calm intensity, that strong jaw, those eyes – that is what this technique does to any face with good structure. If he has a face worth remembering, this portrait will make sure it is never forgotten.
